Services
Established in 1974, Asian Community Mental Health Services (ACMHS) offers multilingual and multicultural care that centers on principles and practices that:
- Promote concepts key to strength-based recovery: hope, dignity, personal empowerment, self-determination, respect and social connection;
- Plan for each client’s individual needs;
- Reflect the cultural, ethnic, history and language diversity of our communities; and
- Remain true to our community-based roots and commitment to social justice.
More than 130 experienced and well qualified staff serve our community with professionalism and respect in 8 Asian languages. In addition, ACMHS values and supports the involvement of our board, volunteers and consumers and their families. Our integrated network of services is tailored to the needs of children, adolescents, adults, families and seniors in three areas: Behavioral Health Care, Developmental Disabilities, and Family Support Services.
